Corres Member. Son of Robert Hall (1755-1837). Physiologist, practiced in London, specialising in nervous diseases. Prominent in foundation of BMA. Investigated circulation of blood; discovered reflex action (1832) and applied it to the explanation of convulsive paroxysms; rationalised treatment of epilepsy; introduced ready method in asphyxia; devised system for restoring animation to partially drowned.
